Background.
I was born in Germany, the son of a British soldier, and grew up across the UK, Germany and Cyprus, among other places. School and those different postings shaped early on how I hear language, sound and cultural nuance. As a young man I served for four years as a musician and State Trumpeter with the Life Guards in London. After a riding accident I returned to Germany; about 18 months later I left the army and made a living first as a musician and singer. Later I finally pursued a long-held ambition and trained as a sound engineer, mixing concerts, gala evenings, festivals and conferences across several European countries. Since 2008 I've also worked as a voice-over artist. Today I support Mittelstand industrial companies, film productions and international agencies on a wide range of voice-over projects. I've stood professionally in front of the microphone for more than 15 years. When I'm not in the studio, I enjoy photography and film.
How I work.
I read every script carefully before we record. If a passage doesn't work when spoken, I say so. If a pronunciation is unclear, I sort it out with you. And if a deadline can't seriously be kept, I raise it openly. Clear, calm, without unnecessary drama.

You can't prompt me.
AI can do a lot these days, and it could probably imitate me fairly convincingly too. What it can't offer you is a real conversation before the recording. If you're after a particular effect, want to change a line, or aren't sure about a pronunciation, talk to me directly. I listen, think it through with you, and do everything in my power to make your production sound exactly the way you imagined it.
